This summer marks a substantial change for global logistics.
On 1 June 2026, the digital transition formally began. The UK, the EU, Switzerland, and Norway are among the first wave of countries to officially accept the digital alternative, known as the e-ATA Carnet.
Currently, the ATA Carnet system is used by around 80 countries worldwide. The rollout is happening in stages:
The introduction of the e-ATA Carnet is a practical step forward in making international trade much easier and reducing the administrative burden.
